GOTHIC HOSPITAL

In the center of the city there is a hospital that is as monumental as it is old: it was founded in 1344 by the Infant Pere and was used to receive pilgrims passing through the Balaguer pass. The name of the city comes from this building and materializes the most important historical trait of the population: hospitality. On the first floor, a well-designed exhibition - with audiovisuals and small interactive stands - allows visitors to learn more about the medieval past of the site and of the city in general.
