It is a small village located 76 km from Nayarit, easily accessible as it is on the road to Guadalajara. It is visited both for its ancient architecture and for the Ceboruco volcano. It is 2 260 metres high, surrounded by remnants of lava and volcanic stones, produced by its latest eruption at the end of the th century: from its crater, there are still tempests of water vapour. It can be accessed by car, by foot or by horse. From June to September, the El Salto waterfall, 7 km from the village, is a nice option to refresh.
