Six kilometers north of Sayulita (10 minutes by car and 20 by bicycle) and 44 kilometers from Puerto Vallarta (1 hour by car), San Pancho owes its charm and harmonious layout to the will of Mexican President Luis Etchevarria (1970-1976) who, in love with the place, had almost all its streets paved. This aesthetic concern can be found all along the long and wide virgin beach, which has been spared the installation of buildings and slums of all kinds. Quiet, pretty, charming and discreet: there is no shortage of adjectives to describe this place surrounded by mountains with lush vegetation. Moreover, with an average temperature of 23°C, its tropical climate favors the cultivation of lemons, mangoes and papayas (paradise). The village has only 1,600 inhabitants, including a large international community, not to mention the American and Canadian tourists who come to spend part of the winter here (we must understand them). This melting pot of different cultures makes it possible to find the best characteristics of a Mexican village as well as businesses run by expats. As a result, taco puestos and cantinas rub shoulders with art galleries, fusion restaurants and yoga studios. San Pancho is primarily a lesser-known destination for travelers and a haven for surfers, bird watchers and sun seekers looking for a more relaxed lifestyle
