EMPORDÀLIA
Located in the village of Pau, it is a group of small producers from the region who founded their cooperative in 1947, based in Pau and Roses, then merged in 2005. Today, the cooperative covers 230 hectares of vineyards, growing Grenache Blanc, Macabeu and Muscatell d'Alexandrie for white wines and Grenache and Samsó for reds. New grape varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are also being introduced. It also owns 500 hectares of olive groves. The Empordàlia cooperative has also been producing olive oil for several generations. You can visit Empordàlia's magnificent premises, from the old mill to the modern wine cellar, as well as the winery and olive groves, and sample some fine Empordà wines and olive oils. Gourmet meals on request.
