The Commanderie de Villemoison and its Templar history, a monument unique in the region.

A unique monument in the region, the Commanderie de Villemoison is witness to the establishment of the Order of the Templars in the Nièvre. Situated on a 7.5 hectare park, the Commanderie deploys three 12th century buildings: the Romanesque Chapel, the heart of which is decorated with a 13th century fresco, the Commander's dwelling and the tithe barn. Now a private property, the owner offers you beautiful guided tours on Wednesdays in July and August. A part of the buildings houses tourist accommodation.
