The Casc antic houses some remains of the old fortifications of Sant Pere Pescador, declared a national cultural asset

Within the casc antic, you'll find some remains of the ancient fortifications of Sant Pere Pescador, declared a national cultural asset. These include the northern and western sections of the old walls, which are now embedded in the houses in Carrer del Forn. The tour also takes you to the church of Sant Pere, built in the 17th century on the site of a former Romanesque church, the remains of which can be seen outside in a narrow street linking the church and the Caramany estate. It is thought that this private house, with architectural elements ranging from the 16th to the 19th century, was built on the site of the medieval château de Sant Pere. Another significant feature of the town center is the 17th-18th century chapel of Saint Sebastian, where people came to implore the saint to fight epidemics, at a time when mosquitoes thrived in this marshy area.
