Old church of Sant Salvador located at the end of the cliff with late Renaissance architecture
At the end of the cliff majestically the ancient church of Sant Salvador. In the 1428 th century, it was completely destroyed during the earthquake of, which in its wake leaves a quarter of the population of the day. Rebuilt in 1657-1658, it will be burned in 1936, at the dawn of civil war. A new church was then built in 1944 in another location of the village. Today, what can be observed in the architecture of the old church is in late Renaissance style, with a square steeple at several openings surmounted by a whole orné with small pilasters. From the Romanesque era, only a few basaltic stones were reused during the reconstruction of the th century. Now, since the 1980 s, at the initiative of the inhabitants of Castefollit, the old church has been restored - combining glass, iron and ancient stone - and houses a cultural centre.
