A walk on the castle allowing to enjoy splendid views while visiting the main spaces of the fortress
The 600 meters of Hostalric walls represent 1,000 years of history. A walk through the walls allows you to enjoy the splendid views while visiting the main areas of the fortress (the guardhouse, the powder magazine, the bombproof gallery). A visit to the castle's interpretation center, where it is possible to watch a video - in French - will take you on a journey back in time and discover the functions and transformations of the medieval castle of the Viscounts of Cabrera (11th century) throughout its history. Located on a basalt rock outcrop, it was during the battles against Napoleonic troops that this fortification experienced its hours of glory. The structure currently visible dates from this period.
