MEDIEVAL ENCLOSURE OF HOSTALRIC
The medieval enclosure of Hostalric was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1963
The town boasts one of the best-preserved medieval fortified walls in Catalonia. The wall and its annexed towers were declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 1963. It stretches 600 meters from Portal de Barcelona to Plaça dels Bous, and includes 8 towers (with the exception of the Frares and Convent towers), which form part of an outer wall. The key tour of the village allows you to explore at your own pace, opening and closing the visitable areas: the parapet walk, the Frares tower, the Ararà tower and the Relliguer cave.
