BISCUIT MUSEUM
Cookie museum allowing to discover the history of a family business through the furniture of the old store.
In 1908, Joaquim Trias Vila opened the first Trias bakery-pastry store. Soon, it was his almond cookies that made his name, and a century later, the little galettes, along with a whole collection of other sweet treats, are still a hit in Catalonia. To pay tribute to this inspired forefather, his descendants opened a small museum in 1994 in a wing of the cookie factory (whose premises date back to 1979), which was renovated and re-inaugurated in 2008 to mark the company's 100th anniversary. You can discover the history of this family-run business through the furniture of the old store, and the tin and cardboard boxes in which the cookies were sold. Although the facilities are rather modest, the visit is nonetheless instructive, and a fine tribute that will delight those nostalgic for the past century.
