The river of Arbúcies is undoubtedly one of the main treasures of the Montseny Natural Park
One of the main treasures of the Montseny Natural Park (a UNESCO-protected biosphere) is undoubtedly the Arbúcies river. Part of the river runs through the town, and a 5-minute walk upstream from the town center takes you into the heart of lush, almost tropical natural surroundings. The walk stretches for around 2 kilometers and features an impressive variety of trees and flowers, as well as a cultivation area where 27 apple trees of different varieties are preserved. It's a superb place for quiet contemplation. It's probably not without reason that the famous Catalan painter Santiago Rusiñol spent several years here, reproducing the sumptuous landscapes created by the passage of the river.
