ARBUTUS RIVER
The river of Arbúcies is undoubtedly one of the main treasures of the Montseny Natural Park
One of the main treasures of the Montseny Natural Park (protected biosphere by UNESCO) is undoubtedly the river of Arbúcies. A part of the river passes through the city, and from the city centre, you can find a 5-minute walk in the heart of a lush tropical nature. The walk stretches over about 2 kilometres and gives you an impressive variety of trees and flowers, as well as a culture area where 27 trees of different varieties are preserved. The place is superb and invites to quiet contemplation. It is probably not without reason that the famous Catalan painter Santiago Rusiñol spent some years here, reproducing the sumptuous landscapes born of the passage of the river.
