This is the oldest part of the city: the small place where the current town hall is grouped, the well preserved castle of Llagostera and its wall dates back to the th century, even the remains of visible fortifications today actually date back to the th century. A watch tower embedded in the wall, which served for a period of time also, gives a rather impressive panorama of the surrounding plains. At the time, the fortified village, perched on a mound, reduced itself to this tiny space, before expanding in concentric circles over time.
