CAN XIFRA

Catalan restaurant €€
4/5
1 review

Can Xifra is located in an old farmhouse halfway between Sant Gregori and Cartellà and is well known in the area. Three generations of women from the same family have been working to ensure that customers can enjoy their meal. Here they eat a variety of Catalan specialities: they start with a variety of embotits, before being tempted by the star dishes of the place such as conill a la rabiosa (spicy rabbit) or rostit de pagès (farmhouse roast). Perfect for those who want to discover the typical dishes of the Catalan hinterland. A delight.

CAN RIBAS

The Can Ribas is an emblematic table of Sant Gregori, opened more than 30 years ago, where mainly guests are found. Its elegant contemporary storyteller is only the same as the dishes offered by the Catalan marmiton team: Copious house plates, traditional but still leaving room for inventiveness in the presentation, as is the case for one of Can Ribas' specialties, the pork dish dish has brasa (braised pork feet). Desserts are tasty and professional.

EL RACÓ D'EN PEP

Catalan restaurant

We come to Pep and Joana for their family welcome and for their traditional dishes, simple and well executed. In a service room with a high ceiling and a sober, rustic and elegant decoration, you will eat, for example, cargols a l'estil d'en Pep (snails in the style of Pep) or an amanida catalana (Catalan salad) before moving on to a solid bistec de la mitjana a la brasa (rib steak 250 g), a cuixa d'anec cuinat amb figues (duck leg cooked with figs.) or a xai a la brasa (grilled lamb). Excellent value for money. Terrace.

MAS PALAU

Catalan restaurant

Set in an 18th century masia and surrounded by lush nature, Mas Palau offers seasonal products cooked in the traditional Catalan way: ducks and rabbits compete on the menu with seafood dishes such as fish a la brasa or fried squid. The service is very pleasant and the atmosphere is good-natured. Mas Palau is part of the association Cuina de Les Carboneres which may give you the opportunity to try the veal with mushrooms or the duck with pears, typical dishes from the Llemena valley.
