CAP DE CREUS NATURAL PARK
Park with a great diversity of marine and terrestrial ecosystems.
Created in 1998, it includes the Cap de Creus Peninsula and Rodes's string. With the particularity of being the first marine and land park in Catalonia, it covers an area of 13 886 hectares, of which 10 813 hectares correspond to the land part and 3 073 hectares to the maritime part and reaches 670 metres (Sant Salvador de Verdera). It will therefore find a wide variety of marine or terrestrial ecosystems. With endemic fauna and vegetation and unique geological formations. Historically, it also has impressive architectural elements ranging from prehistory to medieval times. With the Dolmen of the cross of Cobertella, the largest of Catalonia and the Benedictine monastery of Rodes Pere Pere de Rodes.
