Private arboretum at the gates of Nevers with varieties of trees and shrubs, roses and many perennials

This private arboretum, located at the gates of Nevers, brings together more than 2,000 varieties of trees and shrubs, nearly 1,100 rose bushes and many perennials. If it is possible to visit it throughout the year, it is best to come during the high points of the year, i.e. in May with the flowering of the heather earth plants (azaleas, rhododendrons...), and from June with the flowering of the rose bushes. Beautiful colourful compositions enchant visitors!

Amazing place - Eric Bariller and his wife started planting 6 acres of land with trees, shrubs and other plants about 30 years ago, and have made this one of the most incredibly rich and interesting arboretums to be visited, probably in the world with up to 2000 species now represented. All trees were planted as seeds or small - if you are 40 or more, it is incredible to walk this arboretum and think that you are actually older than any plant there. It was clearly created out of passion - I think the entry was proposed for 4 Euros (same as free really) - and this is definitely worth a trip, let alone a visit.

Très beau parc, on y passe des heures
Un espace jeux pour enfants, des chaises pour s'asseoir à différents endroits du parc! Et le monsieur qui a créé parc est très communicatif et explicatif! A toutes saisons différents, ne pas hésiter !!
