ROCCA DI SORAGNA
The Rocca Di Soragna is a fortress that rises in the center of the city
Built around 1385 by Bonifacio and Antonio Lupi, lords of Soragna, the fortress stands in the centre of the town. It gradually became a residence for the Meli Lupi princes, who still own it. Magnificently maintained, with its two stone lions guarding the entrance, the Rocca Meli Lupi is a remarkable example of Baroque art: its rooms retain intact furniture from the same period, much of it made in Venice. To the north of the fortress is a beautiful English park.
