HOUSE OF THE SEASONS

The House of the Seasons can be visited or lived in, and is one of the largest and most beautiful villas in Jefferson. Built in the 1870s by a wealthy local entrepreneur and politician, it is stylistically somewhere between Greek Revival and Victorian architecture. From the outside and inside, through the gardens and reception rooms, the setting is beautiful and timeless. A few historical objects and touches are worth noting, including the moonshine distiller that is still present from the prohibition era.
