SALAD SALAD
Horseback riding and pastoral work riding courses in an authentic manade near Arles, with gîtes and table d'hôtes
If you're looking for authentic, colorful characters who will share their passion for the Camargue with you, the Saliérène manade is the place to come. And please don't tell André that the Camargue is part of the Gard region, as he's one of the oldest Guardians and proud of his roots. No, the Camargue is Camarguaise, period. Chauvinism aside, André and Françoise, his wife, will be delighted to introduce you to their Camargue bulls and horses through visits to the manade. They also organize gardiane riding courses for riders with relatively good saddle skills. For visitors who want to linger a while, it's possible to rent the 2 gîtes, which can accommodate up to 14 people. Françoise offers a table d'hôtes with local specialties: gardiane de taureau, grillade st Gilloise.
