Numerous 1:20 scale models explain how wood was floated, and how rouettes (wooden ties used to bind logs together) were made. During your visit, you'll learn how to build your own wooden train.

Je n'avais jamais entendu parler du flottage du bois comme une activité économique "française" (nécessaire aux parisiens!!), j'ai été enchanté de cette découverte du "flottage à buches perdues" : la visite (guidée au demeurant) est remarquable par la qualité des illustrations, des objets exposés et des connaissances transmises. A faire absolument.
