Since 1918, Faïencerie Colas has been perpetuating the tradition of "Bel Ouvrage" in its workshops in the historic Faubourg de Bethléem district of Paris. The technique employed is known as "petit feu", in which three successive firings perpetuate each stage of production. Hand gestures repeated a thousand times, each object is transformed into a unique piece and becomes a Faïence d'Art de Clamecy. The company also manufactures ceramic beans under the name "Les Fèves de Clamecy", whose reputation extends beyond our borders.
