Read moreThe Port Pirie National Trust Museum incorporates The Old Customs House, which was opened in 1882 to accommodate the increase in maritime traffic in the port; the Victorian Railway Station building, completed in 1902 and used as a railway station until 1967; and the former Central Police Station, built in 1892. The buildings are now owned by the National Trust and are reserved for the presentation of local history.

The shark, made entirely of fiberglass, is a replica of a shark caught in a fisherman's net many years ago.
