Cave where some 2 or 3 million bats come out every day to hunt for food in Calakmul

As early as kilometre 106, signs indicate the presence of bats. A little further on, on the left side of the road towards Xpujil, a path in the forest leads to a cave from where some 2 or 3 million bats come out every day to hunt for food. The spectacle is impressive, they come out and fly in an arc and brush against you without ever hitting you, thanks to their echolocation abilities. Nature in all its splendour and magic! Make sure you get there before nightfall, after visiting the ruins for example.

Superbe! 4 millions de chauve souris quittent leur grotte en même temps. Un spectacle à ne pas manquer en revenant de Calakmul
Attention lorsque l'on quitte l'état du Quintana Roo nous reculons d'une heure.Le soleil se couche donc une heure plus tôt.
