Located in Smiljan, Nikola Tesla's native village, this memorial was created to mark the 150ᵉ anniversary of the physicist's birth on July 10, 2006. It consists of several renovated historic buildings: Tesla's birthplace, the Church of St. Peter and Paul and the family barn, as well as new buildings including the Experimental Station, a replica of his Colorado Springs laboratory where he lived. The museum offers a complete and entertaining tour of Tesla's life and inventions, in a quiet, natural setting.
