Its keep, Torre de l'Homenatge, is the most visible part of the castle, but also of the whole village, as it stands about 10 metres high. The castle, one of the most interesting of the medieval period, consists of two sectors that are well differentiated by structure and function, the fortified centre and the palace. Articulated around irregularly shaped streets, the nucleus of the village was once protected by a complex system of walls. This defensive system was completed by spectacular trenches, up to 7 metres high, located to the north and west.
