Impressive circular ramparts with an array of guard towers with 2 museums

The impressive circular ramparts that surround the city are 15 metres high but the watchtowers are 30 metres high. It is 2 km long and it takes 2 hours on average to go around it completely. You can admire an array of watchtowers: a total of 4 watchtowers at the access gates, 12 square towers about 22 metres high, and 16 small towers 15 metres high! Two museums are installed inside the walls: an archaeological museum and the siege museum (museo dell'assedio) dedicated to military techniques in medieval times.
