Wild donkey sanctuary covering part of the Little Rann of Kutch, also home to foxes, hyenas and birds.

The wild donkey sanctuary covers a large part of the Little Rann of Kutch, a huge desert plain of dried mud, which turns into a giant lake during the monsoon. Winter (October to March) is an ideal time for bird watching. Besides donkeys, the park is home to foxes and, even rarer to observe, hyenas. On weekends, families come from Ahmedabad, which is only 2.5 hours away. If you can, come during the week, you will have the Little Rann all to yourself... or almost.

Totally deserted during the week, so pleasant for ballade but we did not see animals either. Bring a hat and sunscreen and water! access to the park (surcharge) and is controlled. Then you is free and we visited it without a guide, with our Indian driver… But it is perhaps more careful not only not to get there… To see
Salt heaps endlessly throughout the roads of the area and buy local production.
