MAIRIE DE VITTEAUX
Vitteaux is a pretty small town built on the Brenne. This picturesque little town has a large number of old character houses. The Béline house, for example, dates back to the th century and the halls. The remains of the castle built by the counts of Chalon give Vitteaux a lot of charm. Well anchored in Auxois, Vitteaux organizes, during part of the year, markets where one crosses local producers, every Saturday from Easter to the All. Another regular meeting on the first weekend of May: Music concerts in Auxois with traditional music, dance courses and balls. Adds the original feast of the brioche in mid-August. Vitteaux, besides its wildlife and leisure park, is a popular place for horse lovers. It is the only horse racing in the department. In the municipal park, Sylvie Fleury's work is surprising. It's a flying saucer that seems to have collapsed under the marroniers. An identical work 5 m in diameter is installed in Anyang in South Korea (outskirts of Seoul) and bears the name Vitteaux.
