Annick De Splenter dreamed of giving back a brewery to the city of Ghent, and this is what happened with Gruut. The particularity of the house is that Annick's beers are not flavored with hops but with gruit(gruut in Dutch), a mixture of herbs that gave taste to the beer before the use of hops. If you don't have time to visit the brewery, don't hesitate to come and try one (or several, in moderation) in the room with a view on the tanks or on the terrace, with a view on the entrance of the Parc Baudelo. Let yourself be surprised!
