Although it's worth it in any season, the best time to visit Vranckx Pastry Shop is in December and during the Christmas season. As the holidays approach, it seems as if a bunch of little elves are busy filling the display with St. Nicholas' chocolate hollows, soft cougnous, logs and logs of all flavours. Santa's hat and his belt are delicacies to be discovered! As for the bakery, the Gaults' bread and the tourte de meule are a must.
