House remarkable for its architecture, its French ceilings and its framework
Built in 1504 of red brick, the Maison Bossuet is a bourgeois residence remarkable for its architecture, French ceilings and carpentry. It belonged to the family of Jacques-Bénigne Bossuet, preceptor to Louis XIV. It is home to the Musée de la Saône et des Gens de la Saône, which traces the history of the area and its inhabitants: archaeology, stoneware production at the Jacob Delafon ceramics factory, river boating, the prosthetics industry, etc.
