SMALL MUSEUM OF THE MAREDSOUS CHEESE FACTORY

The atmosphere in the cellars of Maredsous is a fragile microbial ecosystem, so the cheese factory is closed to the general public. The museum makes up for this with the history and the making of cheese in general, but also traces the origins of the typical soft cheese Maredsous until today. Discover this cosy space only a few steps away from the abbey. The visit to the museum is part of the guided tour of the abbey and cannot be done separately.
