REFLEKTOR

Pop rock and variety concert hall
3.5/5
2 reviews

Concert hall, brasserie, vinyl store, food truck, organizer of the Festival Les Ardentes... the Reflektor is on all fronts, or almost. We love music here, and it shows. In fact, the Reflektor owes its name to an Arcade Fire album. The 600-capacity concert hall features rock, pop, electro, house, reggae, metal and funk artists. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the Reflektor Records corner is the place to go to find the vinyl you've been missing. An unmissable cultural spot in Liège.

CINÉMA LE PARC

Cinema
5/5
1 review

The people of Liège are aware of this and prove that arthouse cinema is far from being reserved for an elite. Defending the works of Kusturica, Almodovar, the Dardenn brothers and many others is essential for independent programmers! Today, the Park has become a must. It is a place of reflection, emotion, encounters, dreams, escape and entertainment for the greatest number. Some films can even be viewed free of charge (pre-registration) and sometimes followed by a debate with the producer.

CINÉMA SAUVENIÈRE

Cinema
4.5/5
6 reviews

You like auteur films but don't sulk at quality Hollywood films? Le Sauvenière cleverly combines the two, and selects "general public" films while favouring auteur films. Moreover, the place itself is not unpleasant and rather design. Indeed, his brewery has been designed in a welcoming and very arty spirit, in line with the spirit of cinema, and organizes concerts (see the online program). There is also an outdoor terrace where you can watch open-air (and free) movies on Saturdays in the summer.

LE FAR WEST

Cafconcert
5/5
1 review

Decorated like a Texas saloon, this bar stands out in the Liège landscape with its horse-saddle stools and kitsch decor. It's always packed when it's time for concerts of country, rockabilly, rock'n'roll and other cowboy music. It's known for its wild atmosphere until the early hours of the morning. You don't have to wait long to see dancers clinging to the bar's pole dance bars! Try the Gold Rush, a cocktail to share with friends, and the Clint Eastwood, a spicy shot for real tough guys. Yyyhaaa !

LE THÉÂTRE DU TROCADÉRO

Theater

The 650-seat cabaret puts on over 100 shows a year. With a room decorated entirely in red velvet and gold leaf paint, you're plunged straight into the feather-and-sequin atmosphere of Paris's Lido or Moulin Rouge. This small, centrally-located theater offers revues, vaudeville, music-hall, stand-up and variety shows. At the entrance, the glass doors are completely covered with current posters, enough to pique interest and help make a choice.

BLUES SPHÈRE

Cafconcert

In the heart of Liège, Blues-Sphère organizes concerts, jam sessions, evening shows and blues events. A true music enthusiast, Mr. Brillmaker programs "black roots" concerts, blues and African music, three or four times a week. The place, a little confined at the end of a long corridor, lends itself well to the exercise. The stage is ideally placed for the whole room to enjoy. A bar offers special beers at modest prices, and it's hard to say when you'll be coming out.

À LA COURTE ÉCHELLE

Concert halls

Here, we give artists a "short shrift", whatever their form of expression. The space organizes or hosts both amateur and professional theater, and enjoys partnerships, favoring co-productions. Theater workshops are also held here, and the "Young Audiences" - professional - shows are very popular. In addition, Liège's cultural centers provide entertainment before and after school performances, and the cafeteria exhibits the work of young artists on a monthly basis.

KULTURA

Cafconcert

Two concert halls, a snack bar, an exhibition hall, offices, a creative room... Kultura is a trendy new venue in Liège dedicated to artistic creation, now open for three years. We appreciate its eclectic program of concerts (pop, rock, electro, hip hop, chanson d'auteur) by small, interesting and often fringe groups, and its themed evenings, often centred around international gastronomy, but also big, festive DJ nights. A place to discover for an evening.

Le Moderne is a venue, a company, an art gallery and a center for living culture. There's always something going on in this former cinema in the Sainte-Walburge district. Here, the emphasis is on young artists, which is why workshops are organized for young people (but not only). The theater company, regional, Belgian and even international artists perform here, and the evenings of shows and vernissages are always enriching in more ways than one.

This is the jazz club par excellence. What's more, it's housed in the home of Jacques Pelzer himself. Concerts are held here at 9 p.m. sharp, every Wednesday, and from time to time in a small, intimate room that fills up quickly (come a little before the concert). What's more, you can dine here on affordable home cooking (reservations essential). Varied jazzy programming, cocoon atmosphere, great vibe where neophytes and authentic jam enthusiasts mingle. We love this unique, high-perched venue.
