Le Médiéval is above all a restaurant held by Franck and Marie Wittmann. The chef, Frank, is not a beginner. Trained at the Bernard-Loiseau hotel school of Semur-en-Auxois, it has been awarded by the Clos Napoléon in Fixin and at Auberge Vittellienne in Vitteaux. It is in an authentic environment that it offers traditional and very neat cuisine. In addition to the very good table, the hotel also offers a very nice selection of wines from the Burgundian region in its cellar. All the wines of the restaurant are here, such as the Volnay Premier Cru and the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru. Franck selected in Yonne no less than 7 Grands Crus of Chablis. Bottles are at wine cellar prices and tastings can be arranged on site.

FERME DE MAIREY

Foie gras producer

Pascal Laprée has been raising mulard ducks on his farm in Mairey since 1985, about 60 kilometers from Dijon, which is rather original in the region. He then sells the products he has prepared himself: smoked duck breast, confits, a lamb terrine, a lamb dish with preserved lemons... but also fresh or semi-cooked foie gras (on order)! And an original speciality: a duo 50% rillettes, 50% foie gras... And the most : the location which offers a breathtaking view on the castle of Mont Saint-Jean.
