MUNICIPAL PARK (STADSPARK)

A triangular park between Van Eycklei, Rubenslei and Quinten Matsijslei is a remnant of Fort Herentals, an outpost of the 16th century ramparts. It is populated by a great diversity of Antwerp's inhabitants: North Africans, Jews, joggers, white-collar workers, businessmen, a real melting pot! Not far from the bridge, which dates from 1869, statues are hidden between the trees, as well as a bunker from the Second World War. Ideal for a green and quiet break.
