Pieter Paul Rubens' house and studio with baroque portico, the museum exhibits a dozen of his works and some of his objects
This is the house and studio of Pieter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). The painter bought it in 1611 to make it his residence and his studio. It was here that he received his guests and built his entire career. The baroque portico between the inner courtyard and the Italian-Flemish Renaissance garden was designed by the master himself. The museum houses a dozen of his works and many objects that belonged to him, including a still life by Snyders and a painting by Jordaens.
