Quiet avenue and main artery of the Zurenborg district, featuring architectural styles including Art Nouveau and eclectic
At the height of economic growth before 1914, the Zurenborg district, with Avenue Cogels-Osy as its main artery, was the district of architectural follies. The presence of gardens in front of the buildings is a sign of bourgeoisie. This quiet avenue is an exhibition of all the styles of the immediate pre-war period, Art Nouveau and eclectic. Among the follies, a residence on the south bank of the avenue is a copy of the Saint-Cyr house in Brussels.
