HOME OF MICHAEL & ANNA ANCHER (ANCHERS HUS)

The walls of this small bourgeois house, open to the public since 1967, are covered by the 200 canvases of the couple's personal collection. The interior was reconstituted as he was inhabited at the beginning of the century. Everything is authentic here. The Ancher lived at Hotel Brøndums before buying this house in 1884. It had been inhabited previously by the writer H. Drachman, and then by two Norwegian painters. The soul of the artists permeates this house, we still feel it.
