HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC BEACH PARK

This beach is located in front of a power plant, hence its name. But it is mostly known as a very good surfing spot and surfers have renamed it "Tracks", in reference to the railroad that used to cross it. Here, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling and swimming are safe activities in summer, but with caution in winter (due to stronger currents). The warm water released by the power plant attracts marine species and coral.
