Waya Island is 2 hours 30 minutes by boat from Port Denarau, where the ferry stops at the Octopus resort. The island covers an area of 34 km². It is mountainous, with peaks up to 500 meters high. On site, we strongly recommend a visit to the village and the school. Octopus is doing a remarkable job with the village of Nalauwaki, ensuring the children's schooling and helping them financially through donations. Octopus buys the fruit and vegetables served at the table directly from the village. The resort also donates part of the cost of the overnight stay paid by guests to the village.
