Sawa I Lau is famous for its naturally formed 15-metre-high dome cave. The formation lets light into the heart of the darkness. A mysterious and magnificent place. It's possible to swim inside the grotto and, for the more adventurous, take the plunge into the underwater passage. Many hotels on other islands organize this excursion. Finally, another reason to go there: one of the scenes in Blue Lagoon with Brooke Shields was filmed in the cave. Don't hesitate to negotiate the time you'll spend there in advance - some boats can be a bit too rushed, and it would be a shame to leave frustrated!
