Historic capital of the island and unfortunately neglected by the government in the face of the rise of Freeport, West End looks like a ghost town. Partially destroyed by two successive hurricanes in the mid-2000s, then by Dorian in 2019, not all the buildings and facilities have yet been rehabilitated, but a reconstruction programme for historic enhancement has been underway for several years, called into question with each new hurricane. There are therefore not many points of interest; rather, people will come to this part of the island to enjoy the change of scenery and the gentle way of life it has to offer.
