Halfway between Memphis and Nashville, Shiloh National Military Park is a must on the road to the great battles of the Civil War. While the main battle site is in Shiloh and there is a very interesting Visitor Center, the Civil War Interpretative Center is in Corinth, Mississippi, 23 miles to the south. It should be noted that the Shiloh National Military Park is located south of the Tennessee River Trail, which originated on the Kentucky border (Land Between the Lake), but also at the eastern end of the Walking Tall Trail, another Tennessee tourist route that forms a circuit between Memphis, Savannah (TN) and Jackson (TN).
