The park is only open in the morning and until early afternoon (closed on Tuesdays), so you have to make arrangements to avoid having to postpone your walks to a later date. As in many parks in Brazil, all visits to the park must be done with a guide. You cannot venture onto the park's trails alone, for safety and legal reasons.
