Built in 1696, San Rafael is the second mission of Chiquitos. The roof was added in 1747 by Padre Martin Schmid. Restored by local craftsmen, the interior is particularly eloquent (notably the altar in pink mica, the large paintings in the sacristy and the roof in wood and sugar cane). The whole is not very impressive but is nevertheless worth a visit. The church is open every day from 8am to noon and from 2pm to 6pm. If you need accommodation, the Pascana Rafaeleña (+591 7639 2747) is the place to be! This family-run address, on the main square, has plain but well kept rooms.
