It has a population of about 2,000. Dating from 1755, it is the only mission church built by the indigenous community, 12 years after the expulsion of the Jesuits. As a result, it has strong rural characteristics and modest dimensions compared to other missions. The original state and the conservation of authentic local elements constitute the interest of the church of Santa Ana. The only organ of the Chiquitos missions can be seen there, as well as many original works. To visit it, ask for Don Lucho in the village who will be happy to open the doors of the church for you (except between noon and 2pm!).
