ÉCOCITÉ JARDIN DES MARAÎCHERS
The Jardin des Maraîchers has enabled the redevelopment of Dijon's former abattoirs, a 20-hectare site developed by SPLAAD on a former industrial site. The result is the largest urban development project of its kind in the conurbation, with 1,500 homes and 28,000 m² of facilities, offices and shops in an emblematic eco-city built around a long, tree-lined central mall, shared between car and pedestrian. Collective housing, intermediary housing and single-family homes coexist. The district is connected to the urban heating network. Habellis, Grand Dijon Habitat, Villa Flore, Demathieu Bard, Sopirim, Icade, Voisin Immobilier and Kaufman & Broad have already delivered most of the programs. In the final phase of these developments, Océanis is building 264 housing units along the Boulevard de Chicago, including a student residence and a campus dedicated to sports and health. The Boulevard has begun its requalification, which will complete the metamorphosis of the Maraichers de Dijon.
