PLAN CLIMAT ÉNERGIE - ILLICO2
Dijon Métropole's Climate and Energy Plan, IllicO2, launched in 2011, aims to devise solutions for the city's climate, energy and socio-economic health. The city is seeking to meet or even exceed the European "3 x 20" rule, i.e. to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, increase the share of renewable energies by 20% and improve energy efficiency by 20% in order to meet the objectives of the factor 4 division of greenhouse gas emissions by 4 by 2050. Thanks to this global strategy, the Dijon metropolis is considered an ecological benchmark in France.
Since June 2017, Dijon Métropole has also embarked on a Climate Air Energy Territorial Plan.
Itshould be noted that 18 municipalities in Dijon Metropole have joined the Illicommunes scheme and are involved in the development of Municipal Climate Plans.
