The road leading to the mining village of Poro runs along the lagoon and reveals impressive views. Abandoned buildings bear witness to the closure of the site by SLN in 1984. However, the discovery of a new deposit has allowed the activity to be restarted and the huge transport trucks have started working again. Strange atmosphere... Here, the lushness of the coast has given way to a harsher but equally spectacular landscape. The surrounding mountains have been tirelessly scraped by man. Active mines, stone terraces and summits follow one another and the panorama really has nothing to envy to the Great South. A beautiful discovery!
