Travel Guide Cerro Verdún

Located only 5 km from the center of Minas, accessible by Ruta 12, Cerro Verdún is the highest point of the valley, with an altitude of 326 meters. From its summit, the view of the city and its surroundings is simply magnificent. There is also the Santuario de la Virgen de Verdún, the most visited sanctuary in the country. Since 1901, every April 19, thousands of pilgrims from all over the country gather here to pay homage to the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, the patron saint of the city. The space has a parking lot, restrooms, a store selling religious articles and a spiritual retreat house.
