Balneario Kiyú ("cricket" in Guarani) is about 60 km from Montevideo; if you are on Route 1, take a path at Punta de Valdéz leading to the coast. This path leads to the steep cliffs of San Gregorio, which rise 40 meters above the ground. Below, there is a wide strip of white sand bordered by rich vegetation.
